Does Rogan Know 1 Judo Throw?

This is Mixed Martial Arts so he should be a little versed on some judo throws.  Any little thing that happens on the ground he breaking it down but he never calls the name of any throws.  He just calls it a throw.

Im glad he doesnt use the names cuz the ug judo nerds here would go nuts debating which throw it was for weeks.

Sure he does, Eddie just renamed them stuff like "space cowboy" and shit...

Rogan thinks Karo is a world class Judo player. You really think he knows anything about Judo?

he did the London

Karaga-Zombie Toss. Back the F up!

Judo is cool, if your a fag

"Judo is cool, if your a fag"

hey, that sounds like Jordan Lynch!

"Rogan thinks Karo is a world class Judo player. You really think he knows anything about Judo?"

Actually, he said "Karo has world class hips", not so much about him being world class in Judo.

maybe rogan understands knowing the eastern name for every judo throw doesn't make you a better announcer. that's just for sounding cool on forums.

judo nerds who cares

It would be easier to point out wrestling.

You could break down the Judo-names but it's no-gi grappling and most of the technique comes from wrestling, seeing is how there are considerably more wrestlers in the UFC than Judokas.

Judo is dead....get with the program

Of course Joe does.

What happened to the old school terms such as a hip throw?

"maybe rogan understands knowing the eastern name for every judo throw doesn't make you a better announcer. that's just for sounding cool on forums."

It would be useful if he had some english names for even a couple throws of any kind though. For example, when Karo or anyone else throws someone he could call it a "shoulder throw" or a "hip throw", even call a "lateral drop" once in a while, instead of just shouting out "Judo!". The nice thing about these terms is that they're fairly versatile and you don't need to debate about which particular name to call one specific technique by.

they are actually named in english as well. and i do agree he should say "inner reaping throw" or "outter reaping throw" or whatever instead of "judo throw"

it's the same principle as differentiating between a triangle choke and a guillotine

"Ever grappled with a judoka who hasn't cross-trained in BJJ? It's laughable."

Yeah bro! Judo sucks! Kikuta didn't win ADCC!
