I've had the opportunity to work with Bad Boy recently and have to admit they've been by far the easiest apparel company to deal with at that level. I also like that they keep their roster tight and typically only work with the elite level fighters. You don't see their logo pop up randomly on any fighter that often. If you see a UFC fighter wearing bad boy, you pretty much know they are top of the food chain.
Got me to thinking, does the sponsor a fighter is sporting give you a better or worse impression of them? I'm not talking about the condom depots of the world, but for example does having the Nike, Xyience, Bad Boy logos on a fighter give you a different perception of that fighter?
I think people sponsored by Fleshlite will lend their name at any price.
No,I figure they need to get paid however they can.

agree
You would have to be sponsored by a company that makes landmines disguised as children's toys to upset me. And I probably wouldn't care that much.
Fleshlight would only make me believe you have a healthy view of sexuality.
for some it shows their loyalty and character.

I just look at the sponsor as the highest bidder for that fighter. I do not correlate the two at all, it's just business.
I once saw frank mir signing at a construction expo in vegas and no one was inline. It looked kinda sad because I think he was champ at the time but I just figured it was the highest paying gig he could get for a weekday. I would do the same, make as much money as fast as you can. It's becoming the american way I'm afraid.
NAAFS - Got me to thinking, does the sponsor a fighter is sporting give you a better or worse impression of them?I'm indifferent about who sponsors which fighters. Fighters receiving more mainstream, big brand, sponsors such as Nike, Reebok, UFC, XBox, and Burger King are only the top one or two of the guys in their division.
Then there's the Anderson Silva level of sponsorship, custom luxury Swiss watchmaker: Hublot.

The new sponsorship configuration in the UFC may help distribute some of that wealth more evenly to all fighters.
I would like to see the "of the night" bonuses sponsored by larger brands too. Who knows what that looks like but if it could net larger bonuses for the fighters hopefully it'd be explored.
Mustard Tiger -It really is going to be interesting to see how the new sponsorship structure is going to work. I think the lower level fighters will definitely stand to benefit most. I've heard of undercard fighters lately pulling in under 2k and trading for apparel straight up. Even some main card fighters are getting 10 to 15k which a few years ago was unimaginable. Times sure have changed since the apparel boom popped but obviously the big money is ready to jump in or there wouldn't be talks of the restructure. I think it'll end up being a good thing for the fighters as well as he Ufc. Not so much for the upstart companies looking to make a quick name.NAAFS - Got me to thinking, does the sponsor a fighter is sporting give you a better or worse impression of them?I'm indifferent about who sponsors which fighters. Lol, as a shitty, low level fighter who is fighting twice next month to make rent I'm here to tell you I'd wear a shirt advertising "Gay-vegetarian-athiest-Nuns-For Jesus" who's logo was a baby turd.
