My original question was never even answered. This wasn't even supposed to be a TRT debate. Read the OP again.
To be honest I don't even care if it's an anabolic steroid. I was more so looking for opinions on Belforts future.
If u'r on TUE for TRT, however it works in your body, it will make u perform better. Therefore it is a PED.
Y would u think differently?
"Where's the proof that it's an anabolic steroid?? Are you a doctor?? Do you work in or around medicine?? Do you approve or decline exemptions for fighters?? Do you diagnose low T or give in injections???"
LOL
A majority of all MMA fighters use PEDs. Only the clumsy ones get caught. Lots of compounds that are more or less untraceable as loing as you do it right.
OnlyTheStrongSurvive - And haven't you been telling everyone trt isn't making people better at fighting? How is it producing better fights then?
Guys who are not able to perform at their best because of low testosterone will now be able to perform at their best. Pretty simple.
"He now gets to compete at the maximum Test level recorded by any human ever -- aka the athletic commission limit. "
Source for the AC using "the maximum test level recorded by any human ever" as their upper limit?
I am pro steroids, and have zero problems with Vitor.
As far as he uses TRT coz he popped on roids in past....
NO
orcus - "He now gets to compete at the maximum Test level recorded by any human ever -- aka the athletic commission limit. "
Source for the AC using "the maximum test level recorded by any human ever" as their upper limit?
If this was the case, can't anyone get on trt therefore leveling the playing field?
And if they're using the maximum test level "ever", every time someone test positive are they setting a new record?
No people always want to bitch about something?
Bro, irrespective of being right or wrong in any situation, the universal constant 'haters gonna hate' will always apply.
So no, the criticism will never stop, ever.
He could cure world hunger, and someone somewhere would still mutter 'yeah but he has stupid hair, so fuck him' - which he would, but that's not the point.
Nvm.
OP, i like u bc u like VB as he is also my all time fav but u kinda lose any and all thread (no pun intended) of anything regarding your original post when u said "can u prove testosterone is a steroid"?
MasterofMartialArts - Vitor Belfort has a date with destiny in May, in what could be his final shot at the UFC title. He will be fighting Weidman in Nevada, and according to Francisco Garcia of NSAC, he will have to submit blood tests for this fight, as well as the blood tests in connection with the exemptions he received in Brazil.
Many have said that the testing in Brazil may be shotty and/or nonexistent. If Belfort provides this documentation to NSAC, and passes his USA blood tests with flying colors and KOs Weidman, will people finally move on from 2006 and respect him?? Will he finally get the credit he deserves without the dark cloud of TRT abuse hovering over him??
Possibly a better question, what if he doesn't get approved by the NSAC?? Does he fight without an exemption or pull out from the fight altogether?? These are all possibilities.
Vitor is my favorite fighter, pulling for him no matter what.
Thoughts??
the problem with his TRT use, is that he's obviously used steroids in the past. and one of the anti-TRT arguments, is that he's allowed to maintain borderline high testosterone levels all the time. meanwhile, we make the assumption that his competitor has high levels as well, even though he's training and cutting the same, but isn't allowed to make up the difference with drugs like Vitor is.
if Vitor backs out because he's unable to use TRT, then he deserves all the criticism he gets. but if he shows up clean, and destroys Weidmann, then everyone needs to shut up, myself included...

if they wanted TRT to be "fair," then make it so he has comparable test levels to his opponent...

MagSlim -MasterofMartialArts -It's a steroid hormone, that's literally the definition you'd find in a scientific book. I'm only phone or I'd cite something for you.MagSlim -Where's the proof that it's an anabolic steroid?? Are you a doctor?? Do you work in or around medicine?? Do you approve or decline exemptions for fighters?? Do you diagnose low T or give in injections???MasterofMartialArts -Testosterone is an anabolic steroid, what don't you understand? He takes it, admits it, talks about it.OnlyTheStrongSurvive - He's on steroids no matter how you want to try and spin it. It's unfortunate the athletic commissions and ufc have let it become such a problem.Explain.
This forum is literally split right down the middle between people that say it's a steroid and people that say it's not. Why should I believe you?
Find me a legit scientific source that would call it something else.
I understand that TRT is using an anabolic steroid, but isnt testosterone itself a steroid hormone? So wouldn't a TRT injection just be replacing the testosterone to make up for low levels?
The criticism will stop when he stops blatantly showing that his on PED's. You don't get older in a sport like MMA and get bigger, stronger and faster without a little help. It isn't happening.
