Does Zuffa allow fighter "Sponsorships"?

IfIf UFC is charging a $100k brand tax fee, or a $35k brand tax fee for SF (if its true)then wouldnt the perspective "sponsor" then just simply be an advertiser who is supporting the UFC and not the actual fighter?

The "sponsorship" of a journeyman or undercard fighter is a mere fraction of this fee and most definatley renders the "sponsorship" an absolute waste of money when coupled with the vast majority of fighters. This is NOT a shot at the fighters.

Does Zuffa even really allow athlete sponsorships in their broadcasts or is it just simply overpriced advertising?
