What is your opinion of them?

How do they compare to the Swain and Zebra rectangular tatame mats?

What about shock absorption for throws?  Just as good as Zebra and Swain?

Dave,

I believe these were the mats that were used at the last GQ in Vegas. They seemed great. There were several powerful throws and no one on my mat was hurt on impact.

The mats are very good and so much lighter than traditional mats. however imho only the 2" ones would be thick enough for high amplitude throws, similar to the greco-roman mats made by Dollamur.

but I personally like Tatame mats much better for all bare-footed combat sports.
