This looks to be a great fight. For those who like to bet - given how goofy the odds are - one could do well putting money on Pierson.
I suspect Dong is going to have his hands full standing with Sean and the latter will most likely be able to determine where the fight is going to take place.
All the best to Pierson in this one as it is a great opportunity for him also.
Agreed.
People keep talking about Sean defending the takedown and going to work on the feet. Yep, that can work for him.
But he can also drill one of his deep doubles and get on top. His top gnp has been his best weapon through his career. He can win there.
Tough fight of course but he definitely has ways to win.
Best of luck to Sean.
Do it up Sean!
Obviously not the result Sean was looking for but a good, interesting fight nevertheless. All those caught kicks, all those . . . flying type front kicks - one that did some damage - made for a good fight. The throw that Sean reversed was something rarely seen. Congratulations to both athletes!!
I agree with Magnus. Good fight Sean!
I agree with Magnus. Landing on top in side control after being thrown was nice and Sean worked to butterfly and to his feet smoothly. Those were positives he can take from the fight. Sean is our wrestling coach here at GrantBrothers and we support him 100% and believe he has yet to show his full potential in the UFC. Robin makes a great point about Sean's gnp which is his best weapon. I believe the world will be impressed by his next few performances where he will put his striking, td's, and gnp all together. Best of luck in the future to Sean!
