If you guys don't know about Donnie Yen, he's a legendary martial arts star who is up there with Jet Li and Jackie Chan is one of all time greats. Donnie has trained in mixed martial arts it says that he would have competed in the ultimate fighting championship, had he not injured himself. He has advanced degrees in judo, tae Kwon do, Brazilian jujitsu, and wushu kung fu. Even jet Li and Jackie Chan say that among the martial arts stars that Donnie was the best fighter. A lot of people talk about how Bruce Lee would have fared, but I would've also love to see what Donnie would've been able to do. If you are a fan, you should try to see IP man 3....it's in theaters now and he faces Mike Tyson in an awesome scene. Yen actually fractured Tysons finger during the filming by blocking one of his punches and Tyson says that yen would beat him in a real fight but of course Tyson is always saying things like that: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=_wUcbN34leM
Thanks for the heads up that it's in theatres. Getting an 8 on imdb and an 82% on rotten tomatoes.
Free on Xbmc for those who haven't seen it. Great flick.
If you haven't seen flashpoint check it out. Awesome mma fight scenes
Been a fan since Iron Monkey

He would probably have to have some pro fights first no? Or some kind of experience of competitive fighting sports? I'm glad his injury doesn't prevent him doing movie stunts at least.
I can recognise that a lot of these movie guys are very skilled in their own way but I get sick of hearing how great they would be if they felt like competing.
And breaking someone's finger in a choreographed fight isn't something to be proud of.
