DON'T. TALK. TO. POLICE.

REASON #1: Talking to the police CANNOT help you.

If the police are talking to you, it’s because they suspect you have committed a crime. If they have detained you, it’s because they already have enough evidence to arrest you and they want to see if you will admit it and thus, give them an even stronger case against you.If they have evidence to arrest you for a crime, they will. If they don’t, they won’t. It’s as simple as that.Talking to them or not talking to them won’t make a difference! No one has ever “talked his way out of” an arrest.

My only experience with US law enforcement is watching the First 48. Seems like, if you don't admit it they never bother actually investigating and getting, you know, evidence. So if you blank it they are screwed! Phone Post 3.0

Good advice. I won't talk to them whether I'm guilty or not. They are not questioning you in some valiant effort to exonerate you, they are trying to collect evidence and build a case against you. And even intelligent people can fuck up the truth a little if asked the same question 30 different ways. Phone Post 3.0

I used to work in courts and witnessed countless cases where the corroborating evidence against the accused was their own police statements. I.e. if they had just kept their mouths shut they would not have went to jail for years. So yeah, never say anything to the police.

This has been posted several times, and I watch it some every time. He makes some good points. Phone Post 3.0

Well I was able to talk myself out of a stop sign ticket I believe. I just told the cop I got out of work after working at 2am and was heading to class that started soon. He saw my bookbag and my work uniform in my car and let me go after just looking at my license. Didn't even need my insurance. Phone Post 3.0

I remember when.I got robbed the cops came 2 hours later andnhave the nerve to start talking.shit about me. Phone Post 3.0

From 'to protect and serve' to 'to detain and arrest'.

Aren't cops fantastic?

There it is....cops are terrified of lawyers....if you ever get pulled over and they want to search...tell them you want a lawyer there first....90% chance they'll bail. Phone Post 3.0

I live in a relatively small suburban town... cops here are cool and are pretty active in the community

on Halloween they were driving around giving out candy
