To be fair, he was already punished by rolling the dice on his life with very very bad odds. Pretty miraculous he wasn't murdered, Moose are like Hippos.

But, yeah, fuck that guy. Moose is trying to go about it's shit, trying to cross a river for fuck's sake. Moose numbers are in severe decline recently. Lots of possible factors, usually thought to be linked to warmer temperatures.

Happened in northern BC somewhere, and there's an ongoing search for the guy. Was all over the news about a month ago - said drunk guy could face a substantial fine for wildlife harassment ($350 to up to $100k).
Pretty dumb move. Too bad he didn't try it on land.

Coincidentally, 2 weeks after this video, I has the same opportunity. I kept my distance and followed her with my electric motor.
