Seeing all these tourists walking around with these underwhelmed expressions ala Banksy after coming from Vienna or whatever. Fuckwits. What did you expect lol.
Amuses me no end.

I'm in Dublin right now and I have to say that the wife is not impressed. Good place for a pub crawl though.

I’m at the foot of the Dublin mountains, it’s still nice enough around here. But yes, the city centre and immediate surroundings are a fucking kip and getting worse every year.
Recently came back from Ireland and was lucky enough to stay with some friends who are locals. With the exception of training at SBI a bit and my wife running a race in the city we avoided Dublin. Pretty tame. Belfast was much more interesting, especially if you're in to history and politics.
The true beauty of Ireland is without a doubt the small towns and countryside.

That’s it. Get out of Dublin and you’ll see true Ireland you see in movies.
Besides, the best thing about Ireland is Irish… after a few drinks.
What the hell is a kip?
BuyTheTicketTakeTheRide -What the hell is a kip?
A shithole.

I love Dublin tbh… expensive but always a good day/night of guinness and music in my experience. I do love the smaller west coast areas too though.

It’s alright. Typical big city. But if you’re a tourist coming to visit Ireland, Dublin isn’t where you’ll see Ireland.

We came to see Dublin tbh and are only here for a few more days. Didn’t really prepare very well so trying to figure out what to do on a daily basis.
We’ll probably rent a car on our next visit and drive through the country side. My parents did that a decade ago and that sounds like more fun but could be dangerous since you guys drive on the wrong side of the road for some reason.
Today we did the bog of frogs loop around Howth and got drenched. A bit of drizzle turned into a downpour which in turn led to an unhappy wife. Then you get back into town, the sky is blue again but the wife’s still not happy. A good bowl of chowder cleared things up a bit though.
Things I noticed: a lot of homeless people, two security guards in a tiny supermarket (why?), churches everywhere and quite a few Americans. And a lot of women with pink or blue hair.
People are friendly though, and I know that’s what everybody says, but coming from Belgium it’s nice since we’re not the friendliest bunch of people.
The accent is always great by the way. It’s so much fun to listen to. Almost as good as the Indian accent. Just asking a guy directions today put a smile on my face.

Homelessness is becoming a big issue. Security guards probably to stop thieves. Lots of thieving fucks up there.
You missed out on good weather. We had a month straight of 25 - 30c with no rain. It’s turned shitty again.
Honestly though if you come back - just get outside of Dublin. Ireland is a beautiful country, but Dublin is horrible.
