Pretty straightforward. Doesn't have to necessarily be a pham/Garcia like decision, just ones that don't make sense to you and why.
I'll start...
The decision that I think has pissed me off the most was mighty mouse vs Torres, pretty sure it was 30-27 unanimous.
I think this fight highlights the scoring being catered towards wrestling more so than others. Miguel was constantly threatening with subs and sweeps and staying pretty active. He for sure came far closer to finishing mighty mouse than vice versa. Pretty much all mighty mouse did was manage to stay on top, yet secured a dominate decision victory.
I'd say I like Torres but he's not one of my favorite fighters so I don't feel there's much of a bias if any. But that decision has always bugged me.
What about you guys?
Should have looked this up first but... Just saw it was unanimous 29-28. Still stand by every thing else
Randleman v Rutten and Ludwig v Sudo
mma interpreter - Condit-Hendricks is the worst decision I can remember in the last year or so. I had Hendricks winning the first and Condit winning the second and third.
The fight was awarded to Hendricks via UD, 29-28 based on takedowns he did absolutely nothing with. In fact, it was Condit who did more damage off of his back (similar to the Condit-MacDonald fight, which would have gone down a similar path of being awarded to the loser had the ref not stopped it).
Overall, Condit outlanded Hendricks 94-69 in total strikes. I really hope this fight is a wake-up call that the scoring system needs to be re-evaluated.
That one was somewhat similar to the one I mentioned, and I agree, I had Condit winning but wasn't surprised that Hendricks won. Anytime there's a takedown I feel like that alone can win a round. Would love to see scoring changes.
Maynard over Nate.... Nate won that fight
Ludwig beat Genkis ass. That was a reffing error, not a bad decision. Bang beat his ass imho.
Bisping vs hammill
Sanchez vs kampmann.
A few of deigo"s wins are hard to deal with TO THIS DAY

agreeeed. lol. He's had quite a few questionable decisions go his way.
OmgItsTheWams - Bisping vs hammillThis was the first fight that come to mind, second was Diaz vs. Condit (but at least that was a closer fight).
Gomi vs. Sanchez ... this decision still irks me. It could have easily been Gomi UD because I feel he got every round.. in fact most people also scored it the same way.
Sanchez got a split.

I knew someone would mention Condit/Diaz, that fight really highlights some more flaws in the scoring, i.e. what is more important, landing just to land or aggression/cage control? does damage actually matter? etc.
I think when you compare that fight to maynard/Guida it just further shows inconsistentcies, as that fight was similar except Diaz (maynard) won. The value to the criteria should be alot more defined.
It wasn't a decisions really, but the most baffling scoring in recent memory was one judge giving the first round to Anderson against Weidman.

Pyle vs Story.
One of the dumbest IMO... Machida vs Shogun I
I was rooting for Machida, but even I thought he lost

I raged and yelled so, so fucking hard when this happened. I just didn't understand, until I found out about leg kicks not finishing fights.
Pretty much all Carlos Condit decision losses. always out works his opponent and does more damage, just usually from the bottom
Also want to bring up, after last weekend, there are 2 times now in recent memory where theres been a split decision with all 30-27s.... How does that even happen? I saw the Guillard one and was baffled but I didn't see the one last weekend, but I have a hard time believing if I watched it that I could justify that outcome.

yeah that was one of those "you have to beat the champ to become the champ?" scenarios. I think judges struggle in general with Machida fights because hes just unique/weird.
Was glad Shogun had a more decisive fight his second try, felt he got cheated as well.
