Is Duva Boxing done now with Kirk Johnson going nowhere? I thought they sunk everything they had into Kirk and he was a make or break them fighter?
I believe they signed him for a million. There stable has no superstars. Their other Hvy Eric Kirkland got KO'd recently by Monte Barret. They do have a raw Samuel peter at Hvy. Their best fighter now is the untested welter Chris Smith who is managed by Johnny Bos. They also don't have the deep pockets like promoters King, Arum, Leonard or Oscar DLH or even Main events. Now with ESPN making promoters cover all their costs, smaller promotions will have a much tougher time getting exposure for the fighters.
Great points by Erich. They also have Bernard Hopkin's nephew Demetrius. He has been unhappy with them though, because he wants to stay busier.
