It's all relative and we're comparing Bravo to Garcia here. Winning the trials to a major tournament doesn't compare at all to winning a major tournament, which Garcia has done several times.
I would give Marcelo the edge. But if Eddie got him in hubber guard it would be game over for Marcelo.

No, the NA trials is not a major tournament. The statement that Eddie never won a major tournament is correct.
Sometimes I wonder how many years we will have to go without 10th planet bjj guys winning large tournaments before the no-gi rubber guard fan boys start putting on the gi.
I watched some of eddies matches when he wore the gi and he is good with the gi.. kind of sucks that he never wears it anymore.

I went to a MG seminar once. When the seminar was over there was an open mat and I watched him completely toy with legit BJJ black belts like it was their first day of class. He did it efforlessly and was always smiling and so humble.
MG=much respect. Super nice, humble man. Introduced himself to me, shook my hand and told me his name like I'd never heard or seen him before.
While Bravos win over Gracie is legit, anyone watching that fight and not recognizing that Gracie was completely being careless and not really thinking that Bravo was a serious threat should have their head examined. Bravo in fight terms got lucky and went on to accomplish nothing in the rest of that tournament. Don't get me wrong Bravo knows his stuff but to suggest he could compete at the the level of Garcia is foolish.
ive trained under and rolled with dozens of amazing bb's and no one i have ever rolled with was 1/10th as good as marcelo
It would be a very marketable fight, but when was the last time Bravo had success at a high level competition? I would love to watch it, but I dont think it is fair to compare the achievements of Garcia to Bravo in terms of competition success.

To answer the OP's question, yes they did roll. Marcelo unfortunately murdered Eddie in a tight Twister, and they had to hide the body. After disposing Eddie's carcass into a nearby forest, an alien warship, from the 10th planet in our solar system, invisible to the human eye, landed with the ultimate warrior alien onboard. This alien was travelling the universe, mastering all forms of physical combat, in order to become the best warrior ever born.
This alien happened to unearth Eddie's corpse with his ships propulsion system when he landed, and decided to wear Eddie's skin like a suit. The problem was this ultimate warrior could not breathe our air without modifying it first with a local plant. That plant is known as marijuana. So now, ladies and gentlemen.
