Eddie Cummings defeats Mansher Khera

Munch took Eddie to a decision where Eddie got the W. Great guard retention by Eddie and heel hook escapes by Munch. I guess he did drill escapes after all. Lol Phone Post 3.0

2-1 ref decision. Was one ref wearing a Renzo rash guard? Weird... Phone Post 3.0

I didn't pick up on that, but it had nothing to do with the outcome. I'm a huge Marcelo fan and I don't like the whole leglocks are the future bandwagon that has everyone swinging from Cummings/Tonon's nuts, but Munch just kept trying the same pass and Eddie made him escape a few heelhooks...you've got to give the decision to the guy who was closer to tapping his opponent.

Dang, now he's lost two super close matches against Gary and Eddie. With the Gary match u can tell how frustrated the mg camp was with that loss and now another one? I assume that a Marcelo Garcia vs renzo gracie team rivalry exists since they are so close and both have amazing guys.

I don't know much about the mg team but they need to get a guy to beat Gary and Eddie. Maybe embrace the leg lock game. I like Munch, he beat my coach in a close match and I've liked him ever since.

Let's see Danis vs Tonon and Munch vs Cummings in the gi. Phone Post 3.0

Grappling Industries tournament Manhatten.

Would be curious to see how Marcelo does with someone like this. That Marcello I might have to be from 8 years ago but I'm okay with that Phone Post 3.0

Present day Marcelo and 8 years ago Marcelo would most likely pass and submit these leg lockers.

I'm a fan of Eddie, Gary, etc, but I still need to be convinced that the leg lock game is a game changer.

I just heard Eddie on JRE podcast and he loves to pump up the leg lock game- it's almost like he doesn't even know who continues to win the ADCC tournaments (which he doesn't because when Joe asked him if Yuri was a recent ADCC winner, Eddie didn't know)....most of these winners do not rely heavily on a lower body attack game.

These leg lockers have a big advantage over people with equivalent training times because their game is super tricky. However, put them in with a Cobrinha, Rafa Mendes, Buchecha, Rodolfo (of 2015 ADCC, not 2011 ADCC), Marcelo, etc- and I don't think those elite black belts will be put in too many positions to be in danger. (watch Lucas Lepri vs. Gary Tonon)

Thanks, I'll check it out. Talk about the genius of simplicity in a name!

Great points. I wonder too how six years of scientific study of a game trumps (yes BTW) nearly 20 years of perhaps less compartmentalized analysis but more practical application experience the latter individuals possess for the most part.

He has a great tricky leg lock game.

But let's not get it confused...Tonon can do far more than just leg attacks. That doesn't mean he can beat the elite guys mentioned.

...but I just think people forget that he is a good at way more than just leglocks. Because it's what he's really into now. Phone Post 3.0

Wasn't he very good at and known for triangles before or am I confusing him with someone else?
