I think triple threat matches are the best for guys wanting to enter MMA.
^^agreed
thanks TT
No prob mad tiger...gave your info to Corrie from Grappling Unlimited so she should be getting a hold of you soon.
The state MMA Comission will now be regulating triple threat matches...not sure how that will affect it but some food for thought...
Thanks...
interesting
I know one way the regulation will affect is that participants in MMA matches must be 18 years old.
The legislation that was just passed includes triple threat/ got skills matches and pankration matches as MMA matches so no one under 18 will be allowed to compete...
Too bad for the young guys trying to get some ring experience...Hopefully they can amend that part of the bill.
So does this mean that the promotion needs to pay a fee to the commission? I'm beginning to wonder what exactly this commission is "regulating?" Are they appointing judges and refs? Are they examining gloves before bouts? Are they regulating the size of rings/cages? What exactly are they doing.
The promotions are paying a fee to the commission and in return the commission is supposed to be doing certain things. I know places like Nevada have specific duties that the commission are responsible for and it is posted (in detail) on their site.
Does the Hawaii commission have such a site? Here is the link to the NAC rules relating to MMA (scroll about 3/4 down for MMA) NAC
At this point, they are supposed to be making sure everyone has a license (fighter, judge, ref), blood test, and check IDs.
Is that it?
