What do? How long should I rest it before getting under the bar again?
I've said it a bunch on here, so please excuse me if you've heard me say it. Try Active Release: http://www.activerelease.com Visit the site to find a provider in your area. It will have their certifications when you do a search. I'd recommend somebody with Upper Extremity (UE), Lower Extremity (LE), and Masters certifications. If you can find somebody with those and IronMan certs, even better. A good practitioner can clear elbow tenonitis up in an appointment or two. Insurance will generally cover all or a portion of the treatment. It will be treated like chiro essentially.
I climb a lot, so I get a lot of tweaks in my elbows and shoulders from being at extreme ranges of motion. ART clears it right up.
Another thing to look into, which I've used for my own tweaks and friends tennis and golfers elbow are Voodoo Floss Bands:

(vid on top for elbow fix which has worked very well for me and everybody I've done this too... One friend even picked up his own set after I cured his chronic golfers elbow)
In for relief.
Cheers AdventureRunner. I doubt we have an ar dude around here but I will look into it.
In. I'm suffering as well.
In, elbow has been flaring up this week
Good thread I recently began climbing and have been feeling my elbow.
I've got bad pain on the inside of both elbow joints. Hurts like hell during/after pull-ups (some popping / crunching noises too) and very sore after training boxing/muay Thai.
I'm 42 and have been training since forever and never had this before.
Google says "golfers elbow". Any ideas on what to do?
Thanks for the videos Martin.
I Echo Adventure Runner's sentiments on ART; a skilled practitioner can work magic on sports injuries.
