I have a question about panel box location. My panel box is in a small non clothed closet. It has a louvered bi fold door. My question is does the door have to be louvered for that? I know it does for furnace and things but not sure about panel boxes. Thanks in advance.
Probably for air circulation? I dont know, good question.
Depends on where ya live. Where I am, there is supposed to be nothing within 36 inches of the front of the box. If it is in a finished cabinet, there should be nothing that can cause obstruction either such as a rod for hanging clothes. If you're hoping to pass an inspection of sorts, just remove the door until the inspection is over. It isn't unsafe to have it in there, it's more for ease of accessibility.
There is a louvered door on it. I'm curious if I needs to be louvered or can it be solid
no need for louvers

No. Code mostly just for ease of access. No air flow needed
Normal panel doesn't require ventilation. Does need 36" clearance unless grandfathered.
