I mean, kimbo took up so much of their promotional time and resources, and main event slots, that guys like silva, sheilds, lawler, and all the other legit talent they have has had to take a backseat in one way or another.
Could kimbo getting derailed in such a devastating way actually be good for the org..or further, fans? Maybe they'll actually spend some quality promotion and airtime on some of the better fighters they're sleeping on now. It would be cool if they shifted gears and became a little more diverse, rather than betting the house on one sideshow-esque guy that is too green to really go anywhere right now.

The first CBS show (Kimbo-Thompson) had big ratings because it was new and heavily promoted. The second card (Lawler-Smith) had a big drop off in ratings. CBS attributed that to Kimbo being a big draw, but I think the reason was that so many people saw the first event and thought it was utter garbage that they didn't tune in for the second.
This would be a good thing if there weren't a bunch of idiots at the helm. Anyone else would see this as an opportunity to build up guys like Alvarez and take advantage of this new partnership with Affliction. Instead, I'm sure they're in full on damage control mode right now.

If they sign Tito and have him ready to fight by April that may help them. He's a huge step up as a main event.

No, we saw how well the 2nd show did compared to the first (down 40% in ratings), its all about name recognition. If this show didn't get good ratings, I could see them off of CBS

I think Gina and Kelly had phenominal fight.. FOTN,,,,,,.I think Gina is a great draw.... Shields is damn good...maybe best at his weight ..but needs to be in UFC....and jury is still out on the Kimbo bout...

I was watching Don Best and saw the most insane line moves I've ever seen on a fight for tonight's main event. The line was all over the place, looked a lot like the Dow on Friday.
Crowd loved Cyborg, Arlovski, and Gina almost as much as kimbo.
