Elusive fighters in kickboxing?

I've been watching a lot of tape lately in various combat sports and I noticed that most of the kickboxers in K-1 and pro muay thai have very little variety in style compared to MMA and even boxing. Most use a very aggressive style that has them using a high guard, staying in the pocket with little movement. I'm not sure if this is true because this is the style of fighting that is generally taught or if I'm mistaken completely. Giorgio Petrosyan is an exception with an elusive and defensive minded style.

Anthony Njokuani was very hard to hit in pro kickboxing. IMO he still is hard to hit with conventional striking in MMA, if not the best at it. Phone Post 3.0

Its a lot harder to use lots of movement and elusiveness in kickboxing as the ring is smaller, has corners and guys are proficient at low kicks, which is how you stop guys that like to move around a lot, see Valtellini vs Daniels at the last Glory event.

More corners in a ring. Harder to run away.

Not to mention the power of the low kicks and how much that takes away from your mobility. Perfect example was Joseph Valellini Vs Raymond Daniels from glory 13.

For a sport known for wars of attrition, Saenchai is a rare fighter. Very technical, very stylish, and rarely gets into prolonged wars.
