TTT for LaBoxing and Sean McCully

Agreed, TTT for Sean and LAB.

Crazyhunter,

Thanks for the response.

I have to tell you, I got concerned when I stopped into the Ashurn LA Boxing and saw that they already have an MMA program on the schedule. I asked about the MMA instructor and they were trying to sell me on the instructor's Aikido and Japanese ju-jitsu experience (no BJJ). When I asked about BJJ or submission wrestling, the answers were not very informed.

You know as well as I do, that if anyone who knows anything about MMA were to stop in to check the place out and get the Aikido/Japanese Ju-jitsu sales pitch, they will quickly walk out the door never to return.

I guess this is more of a heads-up than anything. That location is close, so I am hoping they get some good BJJ instruction in there and do well in this area.

Hell if I wasnt a Brain Surgeon already I'd take one of those jobs!

Tx3 for LAB!

I heard from a good source that the owner of the Ashburn location claimed his son (the Aikido guy) could cover the grappling class. lol Those in charge should do some serious in-house training/heart to heart with this guy.

I also heard the pay is crap. Hopefully they iron this out, I'd hate for this LA Boxing to be the first BJJ Mcdojo.

Good Luck

Crazyhunter, where in Mamaroneck? I work in Purchase, I would like to check the gym out.

The owner is Craig Fladager.  He's an amateur boxer.

The boxing instructor and his son are Asim Hanif and Andre Nichols.

"Hanif has over 30 years of martial arts and was the former U.S. Kickboxing Association's lightweight champ and the former world professional kickboxing federation lightweight champ. He is also a first-degree black belt certified by Aikido. Nichols is a two-time state amateur boxing champion and now a professional boxer. "

They aren't teaching Aikido there but they are teaching MMA.

They also hired a BJJ black belt (not sure of his name) for BJJ classes. (haven't started yet).

TTT for LA Boxing!!!

La boxing ever coming to chicago?

I have been teaching for LA boxing for a year and a half. Sean is top notch, and any instructor that is hired is put through the ringer. I have been to several locations during travels and have found this to be true every time.

Here in Littleton, CO, we are building one of the toughest fight teams in CO, but the process is a slow one. Fighters are being brought up right, and trained hard.

Thanks to Sean and LA Boxing for the chance. As for the pay being "Shit", don't speak of what you know nothing about! I am in one of the highest places in the nation as far as cost of living, and make a very good living!

20-30 dollars per class isn't shit?

Maybe if you did 10 a day.

Its obvious I know something or was knowing his son to be the Aikido guy just luck?

Eitherway, I'm glad to see things are being done right. Hell, I'm looking out for LA Boxing and BJJ.

It is confirmed. The Ashburn LA Boxing now has a Leo Dalla Black Belt teaching BJJ two nights a week. That is excellent news for them.

The new BB has nothing to do with the MMA program, though.

Looking for guy's in New Mexico to teach MMA & Kick Boxing

what part of new mexico? i bet cost of living isn't bad there
