One correction. There has been at least one female MMA match before this event.
Karen Oliver beat Jasmine Ulmer on August 23rd 2003 in Lloydminster at "Battle at the Border". I'm not sure if this one was the first female MMA match ever in Canada but it's earlier than the one listed.
