You are not a real fan if you don't hang in there during the down times. I watched every Seattle game in the early '90's and those were dark dark days.

I don't watch as much football as I used to, But I'm a Dolphins fan for life.
I have a bunch of friends on Facebook that are now Packers fans, despite growing up as Bears fans in the Chicago area.
If you want to switch, fine. Just don't act like you never were a fan of the other team.
When they talk shit and talk about how die hard they are about the Packers, I like to bust out old pics of them wearing their Bears gear.
I have a buddy who is a "die hard Green Bay fan", but as soon as Favre went to Minnesota he was jumping on the Vikings bandwagon saying he is a Favre fan and wants to see them win. As a Bears fan I call him out on that nonstop, especially since he parades proclaiming Aaron Rodgers the best QB of all time. 
Switch all you want, I'm a Rams fan. I'll just quietly judge you for having no spine to stick out the shitty times.

I question someone's character if they're a bandwagon sports fan. It says a lot about who they are as a person and it shows that they have no sense of loyalty.
I'm a life-long Utah Jazz, University of Utah, San Diego Padres/Chargers fan. I was born and raised in Salt Lake City and will never switch teams just because there's a distinct possibility none of my teams will ever will a title in my lifetime. If they do, it will be incredible simply for the fact that I've suffered through so many awful seasons between my various teams.

Been a Jacksonville Jaguars fan since day 1. 1 playoff win since 2000. It's hard to be a fan but I wouldn't have it any other way. I'll never root for another team. Go Jags!
