ESPN has done more to contribute to the poor sportsmanship and accent on individual over team in America. Anyone here really impressed by a 6'8" man dunking a ball? i think switching teams is horrible and only acceptable (but not encourage or celebrated)

 

in two situations

 

1- you move from home town area and start cheering for the new hometown teams and cut ties 100% with old team...no having two teams bull crap!

 

2- you have personal relations with someone on the new team - son, cousin, uncle, etc

PatK - I have a bunch of friends on Facebook that are now Packers fans, despite growing up as Bears fans in the Chicago area.

If you want to switch, fine. Just don't act like you never were a fan of the other team.

I was in the stands as I watch Elway lead the Bronco's on "The Drive". Only to get ass raped in the Superbowl.

I've seen Red, Right 88. I was there for the fumble.

I watched as that asshole sonvabitch Art Modell Move the team to Baltimore and I'm glad the motherfucker is dead.
I've love to piss on his grave!

I then watch as the team that USED to be the Cleveland Browns win the superbowl.

I then see the team come back in 1999. Only to suck my hairy ass crack since then. Year after year we look forward only to the draft only to pick someone like Johnny Football that promises to "Wreck this league!" Only to find out the only thing he was able to wreck was his diaper.

So now MY team attempts to find a quarterback and we just have the draft to look forward to....again.

So don't give me a sob story of "My team finished 8 and 8 this year...Booo fucking Hooo..." Bite me. I haven't seen 8 and 8 in a decade.

I'm a washington skins fan so I have every reason to jump ship, but know I never could...

however, the idea of not supporting the team due to our owner being an idiot who undermines any chance we have at success is reasonable... this year was in fact the first year in my 40+ years of fandom that I just stopped watching the games...

though I can't see trying to fool myself into rooting seriously for someone else...
