Evan Tanner Tribute Ride

How about setting up a tribute motorcycle ride from, say, Oceanside to the exact location where Evan was found and erecting a memorial in his memory. Maybe even raise money to help anyone that he leaves behind. Then, every year on the anniversary of his death, another motorcycle ride out to the memorial. I am positive many people will get involved. Just a thought............

RIP

I'm not sure riding to where he was found is a smart idea.......

Make sure you have enough gas. Just sayin'...

tasteless

tasteless "

Not really. Tasteless would be offering advice that would be in poor taste. Giving advice that could keep you safe is not bad advice nor is it in poor taste.

A few months ago I had to fly out to SD to go to my dear friend/co-worker/ best riding buddies funeral. He crashed riding on a road we would always ride out in the canyons together. We both had sportbikes and road tracks.

I borrowed a friends bike and rode out to where he crashed and died. For some reason I had to do it to fully let him go.

I don't mean to butt in or anything like that all I'm saying is I see how it would be cool and meaningful, especially for people who rode with him. If I could join in I would.

Sorry, just trying to make people laugh despite shitty circumstances. No harm meant.

I think it is a great idea, and if I wasn't in Ontario Canada I would join you guys.

Of course we would make it safe for everyone; support vehicles fully equipped with food, water, gas, medical supplies. This thing could become HUGE!! Could you imagine being out in the middle of freakin nowhere with a few hundred supporters, partying like madmen (and women) big ass "Tanner Bonfire" tellin stories of how he affected our lives or whatever. We could call it "The Evan Tanner Bonfire Run." FU*K YEA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing Tanner would have liked something like this.

Very Original & A Good Idea

I'm not from Cal, but I think this would be an absolutely awesome idea. TTT!

 good idea imo

Great idea!

What about a cross country ride (mostly non-moto for those of us without) for charity?

I dont ride a motorcycle but if I knew where he died I would take a trip out in the car...so where did he die specifically? anyone know yet?

I's be up for it. I sold my bike last year, but I'd drive out for sure (or borrow someones bike).
