Evans likely to Mw w/Rumble title win

I disagree I think he'd have awesome success at MW. Machida may be his only kryptonite. A match with Weidman would be a lot tougher of a fight then people think, he could win the strap. Phone Post 3.0

Why would Rashad walk through Rockhold? Rashad might have better takedowns but Roxkhold is better in literally every other way. And Jacare is better than Rashad at everything. Phone Post 3.0

These days, Rashad's wrestling, standup, chin, and cardio are all pretty unremarkable. He's going nowhere at MW unless they give him a quick title path with favorable matchups. Phone Post 3.0

Oh, well because you say so.

Yes because of that and irrefutable logic. You are welcome.

Logic should tell you that of course a 5'10" athlete can lean down to 205lb or so, where he will then cut to 185.

Rashad and Machida both weighed 210 on the Sunday before their lightheavy fight.

Prime Evans barely beat Bisping at 205...really don't understand why anyone thinks he would be some unstoppable force at 185 Phone Post 3.0

It's because the myth of guys cutting weight to be dominant monsters fighting smaller guys somehow never fades away, even though it has never actually been true. People have themselves utterly convinced that the higher division is always more difficult, no matter how many examples there are to the contrary.

Most of the guys who are small in one weightclass cut down and are small in the lower one, too, because they still don't cut as much as the rest of the guys -- they have just adjusted their overall weight down. If there's a perk, it's that they typically won't be at as much of a height or reach disadvantage as they may have been. But MWs and LHWs are about the same height and reach for the most part, so there is nothing to be gained there.

i read an article on this a while back, where they documented that dropping a weight class lead to greater success, if not at least temporarily....
