Just had a moment of clarity.......Phil won on Saturday night at Mandalay Bay...ya, he lost the fight...but he won a bigger war! I was telling everybody in vegas before the fight how centered he was mentally and how he was gonna f#@k up Tanner...when he lost I was like "damn, what happened"? "I guess he was too calm for his own good" I thought...I even told him the same thing on phone yesterday...he got mad and said.."ya, i should have thrown straight punches more, leg kicked more etc.." "hey man.." he said "you should have been more ripped for your last bodybuilding show...if you were a runner and i said you should have run quicker, would you get annoyed?...you feelin me?" "you and nobody else was in my head...i didn't get off my shit the way i could have, but watch the fight without listening to the audio and commentary"...i was like watch without the commentary??
.....................................................................................So i did...Phil lost a close fight, clearly lost, but it was clearly a close fight....with 31-4 Evan Tanner...BUT HEAR ME ON THIS POINT...People were just shocked to see Phil the way he was this weekend...the way he has become as a person maybe...the announcer used the word "bizarre" to describe Phil's 29-28 decision....Phil (from the begining of the weigh-ins through the moment he left the cage) did something I've never seen him do before...acted like absolutely nothing but a class act!!!!!!!....I didn't think of it that way fully until today...hearing comments like "was Phil medicated?"..."he must have lost his desire to win"...Phil even told me that people involved in the sport said he should retire!!!..why??? cause he lost a 29-28 decision?? (to a fighter who is 31-4 primarily in a higher wt class)
................................................................Hey remember Phil after his Menne KO??...arrogant, cocky, dissing everybody??...ya well he didn't do that saturday...he was disrespected by lindland and tanner with that horrendous internet video making fun of him using clips from his worst moments in fighting (of which i might add he never quit, tapped, was submitted or k.o.'d)and a muscle video tape he was paid to do as an 18 yr old kid...and he only responded with dignity and class to lindland's childish bs, never lashed back... then he was disrespected again by lindland throwing daisy dukes on his feet at the weigh-in (Phil did nothing but kick them aside lightly without saying a word or losing composure for a second!!!)...CLASS...nothing but....from start to finish... he shook Evan's hand 3 times afterwards...and gave him nothing BUT respect, stayed there not to get personal attention on the mic but to thank his sponcers and all the people who helped him & to appologize to his fans!!!
......................................................................Ya, he lost the fight by a point...was hurt...still almost took Evan out in the 3rd...and never quit...and yo guys...look at the transformation of the man...TTT Phil...seriously, you won motherf#@ker!!!...I don't care what anyone says bro...you won...start your training again next week and don't doubt yourself for a second, and keep that attitude!!!! Just keep training, every dog has his day...ESPECIALLY with that attitude. Proud to call you my friend. Even gamebred warriors lose in MMA....part of the game...anyone who doesnt understand that isnt really a warrior and therefore their opinion on the sport doesn't matter anyway...if you are a warrior on this forum...put in a TTT this man, he has clearly come a long way...congrats Phil...keep your head up...you are only 28 years old with 10 pro fights(against opponents who have a combined record of about 135wins and 16 losses...nobody else in ALL of MMA can say that), your best days are in front of you kid. Keep a positive focus and keep moving forward.

get glasses then
Try breaking it into paragraphs.
Like I said before, a real test of his attitude will be how he acts after a victory. Anybody can be humble after a loss.
Nacirema..I hear you but the hardest test is a loss, not a win...i've seen phil flip out and get escorted out of the arena by police...on several occasions!!!...he was the worst loser i've ever seen!!!...he has come a long way...a long long way. It takes a man to lose with dignity, especially in something that means so much and has so much riding on it...its not like losing a game of cards...this is all he has
ttt
Baroni sucks! If he was serios about the sport he'd train w/ real men who fight. He's still in Toughman mode. Sorry, but it's true. Enson's not bad but he's washed up, Baroni needs to train w/ Team Oyama, or AMC. Why? Team Oyama is all about striking ( Phil's style), Hume could turn him into a force!
