Just booked a flight to Denver. All the tickets for the dates I was looking for were $500+ but noticed flying out of Myrtle Beach's airport for the same dates were $288 so I booked it. It just seemed too good to pass up but I've never flown out of that airport or with thus airline.

Thy are fine from a safety standpoint. They will rape you on upcharges if you allow it. Go bare bones. Probably won't be the most comfortable seat you've ever had.

Spirit is notorious for being shitty. 40 lb checked bag, 25 bucks per carry on. The free size bag is next to nothing. I would honestly only use them if I was going somewhere for a day or two and could get away with a backpack.

My advice is just make sure you research what you can bring for luggage and pay in advance for it. Abide by their rules or they'll fuck you good

You pay for everything. You have to pay for your seat in addition to buying a ticket. And for your luggage. And your carry on bag. And if you want anything to drink.
The flight attendants are rude
And it's ghetto as fuck.
If you want the experience of going to a movie in a shitty black neighborhood, except you are in an airplane instead of a theater, by all means fly Spirit.
You end up paying the same as Delta or anyone else because they charge you for everything. Pick your seat? 25 bucks.... Carryon? 25 bucks... Two bags? 50 bucks... Multiply this twice for there and back trips and it's pretty much the same as a bigger name company.
Horrible seats. Cheaper flights but they will charge you for luggage and carry on. It's best if you are literally going somewhere that all u need to take with you is a backpack.

Seat only matters if you want to be somewhere specific or next to somebody.
I remember flying Spirit about 10-15 years ago and they must've been new because I remember two particular instances that have never been repeated. First, I got on the flight and the attendant handed everyone a gift/paper bag. Inside was a sandwich, cheese, crackers, cookies, and some other snacks. Then, the next time I flew them, on the return flight, we were delayed at the airport for about an hour or two. Nothing crazy or out of the ordinary and I didn't really care as I was just hanging out at the airport. When landed they handed everyone a voucher for a free ticket the next time we flew (up to $400 I believe, but at the time that was more than enough).
Got to buy your ticket and purchase baggage fees ahead of your flight otherwise you pay more.
As someone else mentioned its Good if you're packing light. So basically you cant take your girl on a spirit airline to go on vacation. I took it to go watch the jiu jitsu worlds and it was fine.
At least they keep the livestock at the bottom of the plane.
