Ever Heard of Pradal Serey? (Cambodian Kickboxing)

During the Summer I had a chance to catch several events in Siem Reap Cambodia, of Khmer Boxers vs Thai Boxers. After seeing the Khmer boxers fair  well against the Thais, I began to wonder why no one ever brings up Pradal Serey when talking about kickboxing in South East Asia?. I did a bit of research and talked to several locals, and learned that most Khmer boxers were executed during the 1970's.

There used to be a school in Lowell, MA and Dicky Eklund (from The Fighter) was one of the boxing coaches. I think they then moved to Lynn and now are gone. Lowell has a huge CAmbo population so I cant believe there isnt more of this in the northeast.
