Every 1 minute 1 women is raped in 1 country...

Congo... "The Rape Capital of The World"

  • 1 woman every 1 minute is RAPED in Congo
  • 1,200 woman a day
  • 435,000 from young girls to elderly women were brutally raped in 2012
  • Rebels use "Aids Brigades" to rape & spread HIV as a weapon of war
  • 45,000 a month die as direct result of Conflict in Congo
  • Over 6 MILLION dead in the last 12 years.
I am working on the business plan for Fight For The Forgotten and these stats are from very reputable sources such as the UN, CIA, BBC, New York Times, and The Guardian.

How in the WORLD is the WORLD being SILENT about this? We make the biggest noise for some of the smallest things. This is the worst war since world war 2!

Things like this is why I leave in late August to early September to live here for a minimum of year, and will try to relieve suffering for the rest of my life. Will you and The UG, PLEASE help me and the few others cry out for the "Democratic" Republic of Congo?

Indifference is devastating! Blind eyes and cold hearts is what allow's the brutality & killing to continue... Evil triumphs when good men do NOTHING.

It's sad I can have more faith in those "savages" in Africa than I do in people like you.

I've looked in their eyes, I've seen the devastation, I've spoke with them about the conflict, I've held and buried their dead infants. Even in this I've heard the hunger in their hearts for change. I've only seen selfishness in post like yours.

Thanks,

but maybe I should have responded to the troll in a better manner. Like, I wish he knew the capabilities and possiblities he had within him to make a life changing difference in peoples life... And even if he made that change in just one life, he'd know his was worth living.

and that doesn't have to be only in Congo... It can be locally, nationally, or internationally.... It just has to be SOMEWHERE. If you don't live a life bigger than you, it won't be worth it to you.

What you are doing is incredibly inspiring - I've followed your journey - hopefully if we all do something, however big or small, meaningful change will happen - thank you Phone Post

Gates of Janus - to me, you can't fix the world.

I think it is best to fix the stuff closest to you and work your way outward.

there is a lot of stuff to fix here before going around fixing the world.

at some point, a country has to be responsible for its own population.

Agreed. And I think that's what Keep if professional was attempting to say, in a not so polite way.

There are people who are starving here in the U.S., people who are homeless and cold at night here in the U.S. Maybe after everyone in this country is taken care of we could focus our attention elsewhere.

There isn't a national outcry because it is not our country. We can't police the world.
What would the solution be? Invade another nation and force them to live by our rules? Phone Post

Maury Povitch would have a hayday in that country. Phone Post

Fuckin disgusting no matter where or what country. Phone Post 3.0

Some places don't even have the basic care necessities to cure even the simplest of health care needs - for all of you 'fuck them all, let god sort them out, they deserve it types' , think about cancer, heart disease, malaria, malnutrition, etc, if your loved one had any of these, you'd do whatever it takes to make them better right? These people have less than nothing and very few care about them, but because it's far away it's ok, they are less than human right? Justin is trying to make a big dint in those less fortunate than us - unless you're prepared to do better, you should shut the fuck up! Phone Post

I agree with we need to focus on issues here at home. We have serious health and poverty issues in the area I am currently in. But its hard to believe in America, where people spend millions of dollars on Justin Bieber tickets and football players are paid millions to show up on a Sunday that we shouldn't get involved.

Africa is the birthplace of civilization and it doesn't need Christians, it needs help. Good job Justin.
