Every lose your voice from throat pressure?

Last night I fairly good size gentleman who I was rolling with went for a submission where he tries to pick my legs while leaning his forearm on my neck windpipe area.

He leaned into it kinda quick before I could react and defend properly with my legs and it hurt but I didn't tap because it somewhat fast and I could breath.

During the rolls After it started to feel like I was sick or had a sore throat. My voice got hoarse and kinda feels like a cold where you have mucus. By the time I left my voice was super scratchy and almost gone.

This morning. It is better but not completely back by any means. This ever happen to anyone? I figure my throat got bruised and maybe some swelling is causing strain in my vocal cords I just want to make sure this isn't something serious. Phone Post 3.0

when I first started BJJ it would get bruised and hurt for a few days, now it doesn't really happen anymore even after really hard pressure

Did you lose your voice ? Or did your speech become scratchy and deep? If so how long before it comes back? Phone Post 3.0
