sadisticsoldier - It is funny because on the conference call GSP said he doesn't think past Diaz, and Diaz said he looks past everyone and would love a fight with Silva and to be champ at 155 and 185. Diaz gets all the negative press after his rants, but even in the short time GSP spoke, he lied, tossed some really nasty name calling toward Diaz and admits he has never even used twitter. Well, the twitter thing isn't a big deal to me, but I'm sure some people have tweeted him in the hopes he'd at least glimpse at that shit.

In every article he seems to be painted as the golden boy who was persecuted via being forced to listen to Nick Diaz rant and insult him. I obviously wouldn't expect GSP to admit his future plans, because who knows if they pan out. At the same time, it just proves how real Nick Diaz is being in comparison. GSP puts on a front to sell fights. Something most of the top guys do, probably not to the same extent though. Diaz is Diaz.

Some people would rather a fantasy, like the little girls who probably thought New Kids on the Block were all perfect little angel virgins while they were actually like mainlining heroin and raw dogging random sluts daily. GSP is a commercial product filled with all sorts of artificial flavor and color at this point. Diaz is raw, organic and homegrown.

Sorry, that last paragraph was too much. Haha.

good stuff I was coming back to point out, that if what this guy says is true this is just another example of the phony, dishonest marketing of this guy. everybody loves him yet nobody really knows anything about him.
fuck he's way more of a mystery than Nick.

Dick move for Patry to spill privileged info.

That said, I hope that really is GSP's plan. I think he can pull it off and would like to see it.

I agree lol. Diaz is going to spoil any plans GSP has.

Georges and his team will keep hinting just enough that he wants to fight Anderson and then when Anderson retires he'll claim it wasn't in the cards and no longer have to worry about it.

How long has it been since this fight was on the table? Three years? Four years?

Career planning and fight game planning are the same thing. Don't let the public know. What could we possibly gain from knowing other than the fans also looking past his next opponent. Plus it would make him look like he does not respect the skill that Diaz posses which I am sure is not the case at all. GSP treats his career like a business and it is the main reason he is the top draw in the sport and the reason everyone regardless of weight class knows him and speaks about him in interviews.

Wonder if their private conversation was meant for public consumption.

Patry is a confirmed D Bag.

The only part that doesn't make sense is facing the winner of Condit/Hendricks. Why bother? If Condit wins, there's no need to see that again. If Hendricks wins, he's still the legit #1 contender, but there will always be one of those. Compared to this Diaz fight and Anderson, I don't see Hendricks being that important to GSP's career legacy.

His detailed plan (since 2008) has apparently been to wait until Anderson has his AARP card before fighting him. Phone Post

His plan doesn't seem to include giving his Gi away.

Well, you know what they say about the best laid plans. Phone Post

So has the plan changed since his knockout to Serra? What was it then?

With Damian Mia steamrolling thru 170'rs now GSP can't go anywhere. IF GSP retired the talk that he ducked Mia would start before he got to the parking lot!!!

Can someone translate this for me?
