Impeach in the House, trial in the Senate.
Repos control House. Impeachment = Yes.
Dems control Senate. Conviction = No.
Any impeachment before the November elections would be futile, and a waste of political capital. Actually, more like the January '15 seating of the newly elected congressmen.
After November, if Obama has the sense to just Sit The Fuck Down and Shut The Fuck Up then he can ride out his last two years and retire a "successful" president. And if the Repos have any sense then that's what they will let him do, and then try again in '16.
In the last 25 years the Repo establishment leadership hasn't shown that they have ANY sense at all. Literally the last act of Republican leadership was Newt's Contract With America, and he did that as a leadership outsider.
That's neither hear nor there, though. Obama is too much of a narcissist to NOT try to bully a Repo controlled Congress. He'll back congress into a corner, fully expecting them to back down, and they'll have to respond with impeachment.
The Republicans have become the party of symbolism. They don't do anything productive but chase red herrings for political points. If they try impeachment again(remember Clinton) it is another "see we did something" that has no teeth and will accomplish zero. Their brand has tanked. What the hell has happened to them?!?!?

I haven't heard anything about Obama actually saying he would do that but even if he did we have checks and balances from the other branches of government to determine if that action is constitutional.

I never said I agree with the right. I think both sides have fucked this country up. I could continue about the problems with democrats and republicans. This partisanship is such bullshit that people refuse to accept anything from the other side and yet everything their team says is right is just ridiculous. To be fair, both ends of the spectrum come together on the truly important issues. Things like perpetual war and corporate welfare, etc. The rest is just political bickering.

mishandling of foreign affairs - Reagan won the cold war with Russia, Obama let it rekindle. Bush pacified Iraq with the surge, Obama let it radicalize again. Syria, Egypt.
