Extreme School in Ringwood

From: Bernie Jenkins
Hello all, I can confirm that i am opening an Extreme Jiu Jitsu & Grappling School in Ringwood, Melbourne this month.
As many of you know i have been keeping quiet for a couple of years with my other committments but I've finally arranged my life so that i can get back to some serious training.

I'm really keen to build up a good competition team and develop some good grapplers in Melbourne's East.

Anyone who would like some more specific details can call me, 0407351486

Bernie Jenkins,
Extreme Jiu Jitsu & Grappling

i have been in a class at extreme with bernie teaching - great class with very practical techniques.....killer warm up though!

all the best bernie

Great to see you on the forum Bernie!

Bernie has been around BJJ since year dot and is an awesome coach (I totally credit him with getting me to Blue Belt standard to grade in 1997).

I highly recommend checking out his new school.

Respect

Gerald.

I've had the pleasure of taking classes by Bernie. Excellent practitioner and a really nice guy.

Bernie used to teach a lot of the classes back in the Rock Climbing Centre
and Kensington stars days for JBW, he was a great coach and very
attentive to all the students. Hope the club does well.

Hey Burnie, last time I rolled with you was at Kengsington with
Mogely... and Junior I think... F@#k that's a long time ago.. '96, maybe
'97?

For those in the area, you should definately check out Burnie's
school... great trainer... very good on the mat too.

Junior???? Oh dear....... what ever happened to him?

Junior (Lee Johnson) was one of the scariest guys on the Kensington mat, I heard he left the SOG, not sure what he's doing now???

He's also famous for leaving a perfect imprint of himself and Chris Chalmers on the Burswood Casino's manicured lawn after suplexing Chris in a drunken episode while in Perth for the first ever BJJ comp in 1996. Nice work!

Gerald.

A great opportunity for Melbourne grapplers, especially those in Melbourne's eastern suburbs!!

Visit www.extremejjg.com or www.users.bigpond.com/sunburn/ for further details.

Go Cuz,
Sounds good mate , i'm sure all will go well with your energy and enthusiasm behind it .
It was your kids hassling you to train wasn't it ?

I guess i'm no chance of getting that Bernie Jenkins hightlights video now heh. Tooo busy .

Hoping to get back on the mat with Colin and crew in the next month.

Hi to all down there and wishing you every success

cheers steve

Go Tiges

I want to thank everybody who has posted and contacted me with such positive responses. It's great that the BJJ community is so supportive regardless of which school they come from, the number of calls i've been getting has been overwhelming. Looks like were going to startwith some good numbers of both experienced grapplers and beginners alike. Because of this i urge anyone thinking of turning up to call me beforehand to ensure you get in. Mob.0407351486
thanks again, Bernie
