Anyone else get punched in the eye and it starts burning. I assumed the sweat caused it, but I sparred at 5pm and its now 2:45am and my eyes still burn. Is this something the body has to get used to. I took more shots directly to my eyes than usual tonight if that matters.
Was your eye open? could have some crap off your opponents glove in there
My eye was open a couple times I got hit, after practice I put my contacts back in and the burning intensified from it then calmed down a minute later. But for a few hours it looked like I just hit the bong. This morning the burning is gone, just hoping it was a one time thing or something my eyes will get used to.
I don't think anything was on the gloves other than sweat.
Did you wash your hands before you put your contacts back in?
Could've been the sweat or even just a bit of grime off your opponents glove; or just your eye reacting to getting grazed
DanCrase - Did you wash your hands before you put your contacts back in?Of course, I'm not risking an eye infection. But my eyes were on fire before then and just kept getting worse after I put them in. My real concern is the burning continued for hours after, I'm good today. Maybe just some irritation.
