There are so many fights I want to see but I doubt they ever will. UFC fights have very tough good guys, but they have no real story or background. The TUF is helping with this getting us to learn about the fight game and fighters but these guys don't really cut it for me. Call me cheesy but I still get hyped up hearing about a gracie fighting, or frank shamrock, Bas Rutten(if he ever got well after his injuries), Sak and all those guys. All of these fights I would love to watch, but most fans would be like wtf? WHo is that little japanese dude, who is this rickson dude? Probably me and a handful of guys who watched this sport for a while would love to see these fights. Mainstream fans really don't know anyone and definitely don't respect any of the fighters or their histories with each other. The equivalent of me giving my idiotic opinions about baseball (I have a friend I train with who threatens my murder everytime I say I don't get what the big deal is about the yankees and red sox, I am like you throw a ball, you hit it with a stick someone might or might not catch it and you might run all the way around wtf is the big woop. Besides the atheletes are a bunch of steroid using millionaire cry babys...I will end my rant here) But I don't go watching baseball at a bar or worse someone's house and start talking to someone who loves the shit and say I could fucking hit a homer or man that guy sux my cousin is better than him or the MOST IDIOTIC questions like(why doesn't he stand up(While the guy is mounted and being bludgeoned) or my favorite "He just needs to punch him and knock him out" You might as well say to a baseball guy "Why don't they just hit a homerun!" Or a golf guy why doesn't he just make a hole in one. I can't wait for the day of the uneducated but respectful fan who doesn't know but understands the key concept, That shit is not as easy as it looks.
