GunFighter - "eraserx13 - "left jab, right cross, left hook, right uppercut".
That one should have a name like "The Classic" or something....

Yeah...not very creative but it still works for me as long as I can set it up right. I like to setup my opponent by stepping in with a 1 strike or 2 strike combo and then stepout. Then, when he thinks I am stepping out, follow up with 2 more strikes by whipping out the "Classic" =)
AlwaysInjured - (Switch Kick) - Thanks for that - ok, familiar with the technique (or similar) just not the terminology.
eraserx13 - ("The Classic") - Creative or not, it's still a great combination - it just flows so naturally - and from now on, in my head at least, this is its new name...!! :-)
SermonOfMockery - that is brilliant. I'll have to try that!
MayIWhoopU (cool name) - That two-strike combo is not my best because I end up too close after the haymaker (actually, I usually use the cross) - but the right knee works well for me from there
BUT...
the opposite works well for me:
I throw a back-leg (right for me) kick to the mid-section and step into him with a right cross AS MY PLACE MY RIGHT FOOT ON THE FLOOR.
It works better for me because my balance sucks, and it allows for some pretty mean momentum in the punch (to make up for any torque power that is lost).
i always liked jab to the head, straight right to the head, and then a left round kick to the body or head on the way out of range. sort of like what Guy caught Arona with in their fight
