Fear Factor Review Blast Joe Rogan )-:

"Fear Factor" Is Back, Here's The Review
By: Emily Cheever

Welp, Fear Factor is back on NBC.

....And that's it, thank you very much for reading this. Good night.

...Oh, you want more? Well, it's basically the old Fear Factor. Joe Rogan (who looks terrible, by the way) makes contestants do ridiculous stunts in the hopes of winning cash. Actually, he makes them do several ridiculous stunts all at once (can't eating a scorpion be enough? Do you have to find the box of scorpions at the bottom of an oil drum?). The contestants tease the other contestants similar to an elementary school recess stand off.

I guess it would be entertaining if this was at least ten years ago. But it's not. Now so many shows do this kind of stuff so much better (Road Rules/Real World Challenge). If you're going to bring back Fear Factor couldn't you change something about the show? Make something about it different? No. Because that would show that the people behind NBC enjoy creativity and award forward thinking.

I guess someone once said "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Well, it was broke. That's why it went off the air. Why waste a bunch of perfectly good fireworks, gasoline, animal blood and various pieces of plywood to not try to fix it? In this economy?

As one contestant said to her sister contestant after getting eliminated from their first challenge: "Dad's never going to look at us the same." Nah, when you told him you were going on Fear Factor he knew pretty much what he was in for.

SumOlogy: Waste of 'splosions, waste of a Monday night.
Grade: 2/10

Fear Factor was great. My son, who's 14, had never seen the original show and he was hooked from the start.

What was she expecting how do you change a show where people eat bull testicles for money?

ANd how does Joe look terible?

Maybe he looks tired from all the work he does earning more money than you.

She prob doesn't know joe is in his 40s! Dude is an animal for his age...just another cunty reporter...train by day joe Rogan podcast by night, all day! Phone Post

Here's a non hater review.....

Review: If Fear Factor ain’t broke, don’t fix it

"Step aside, Jackass, Wipeout, and Stunt Junkies. You are pretenders to the throne. The king of them all is back: Fear Factor."

The wild ride fans remember has returned after being off the air since 2006 after a five year, 148 episode run with ten new episodes airing on NBC Monday night at 9 p.m.. Show producers promised the show would be "ramped up" to make it "even more challenging and competitive than ever before."

First change: Fear Factor is now shot in high definition. Camera technology has evolved to provide more close-up angles. Stunts are bigger and more complex, much like shooting a stunt for a movie.

Fear not, Fear Factor is mindless good fun. Michael Weaver/NBC

But that's it. Otherwise, the tried and true formula fans loved the first time around remains the same.

Hanging from a helicopter, crashing a moving vehicle, cold water and lots of gunpowder detonating stuff? Check.

Teams of buffed-out full of themselves adrenaline junkies willing to tackle just about anything on network television? Check.

“Eww, I can’t believe she just ate that!” stunts involving the ingestion of the nastiest stuff some sick person thought up? Check.

Seal the deal with the return of original Fear Factor host Joe Rogan, and there is no doubt about it. Fear Factor is back and producers were smart to stick to the formula that worked the first time around, amplified for 2011. Word to the wise, though. Don’t watch the show while you’re eating dinner.

Original executive producers David Hurwitz and Matt Kunitz reunited this summer for the Fear Factor reboot. Rogan apparently wasn’t a shoe-in originally, but it’s hard to imagine the series without him. The comedian has come back to the Factor with fresh ink and a thicker physique after hosting Ultimate Fighting Competition (UFC) shows. He offers the right combination of trash talk and real enthusiasm to the show.

Excited fans made #FearFactor a top trending topic on Twitter on its debut night, cheering on the stunts, tweeting and commenting on the fun. Social media is made for TV shows like Fear Factor where half the fun is talking about it with your friends.

RATINGS UPDATE: In its debut, Fear Factor posted some of NBC's best ratings all season. Preliminary figures from Nielsen show Fear Factor averaged a 3.2/8 share in adults 18-49 and 8.7 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. and then held onto the audience in its regular 9 p.m. slot, great news for its debut. According to industry magazine Variety, it's the best for a regular NBC program on Monday since the series premiere of The Event over a year ago, and is more than double the weak ratings of The Sing Off, which it replaced. It's also the second best for any NBC entertainment series this fall

Rogan did look terrible. ;-)

The fuck?

I thought it was great!! and Joe looked fabulous!! (No Homo)

and so did that young lady.. Team Twighlight

Never heard of that website or reporter.  Sounds like the kind of uptight person who wouldn't have enjoyed the show back when it had its first run.

Quick tip: If someone tells you that Road Rules / Real World Challenge is a good show, it's probably a good idea to immediately ignore anything else that comes out.

Any pics of Ms. Cheever?

I tried to watch but just couldn't get into it. I've seen a ton of episodes and after a while they all blend together. Same way that shows like Who Wants to be a millionaire and Deal or No Deal were megahits that fizzled hard after a few seasons. Simply not enough ways to keep a simple game fresh.

Maybe the fact that it's been gone a while helps bring new eyeballs who didn't see it the first time around and makes it a success again, show had a good run the first time around.
