it's just that now he's the Washington Wizards version.
I think they meant if Michael Jordan fought MMA this is how it would go.
Fedor would be the Micheal Jordan of MMA if Phil Jackson had the power to pick and choose the teams he was playing against including the harlem globetrotters.
MMANOLOGIC, once again shows why he doesn't no shit about MMA...no doubt when a man goes 10 straight years of dominance that's a fucking Dynasty.
enough with your fucking cheers -DR bull shit, you're not signing a fucking letter to your boyfriend overseas in Iraq. Isn't that bad, STFU, come around and hate when he's at the tail end of his career.
I think it is hard to call anybody a Michael Jordan of mma. Jordan changed the game of basketball forever, that hasn't been done yet in mma.
EEKS - Maybe more like the Chicago Whitesox version.
Lmfao
Travis Lutter is. Get it straight son.
EEKS - Maybe more like the Chicago Whitesox version.
More like the Birmingham Barons Michael Jordon! (couldn't resist, and still s fedor nuthugger)
nofatchicks - it's just that now he's the Washington Wizards version.
That's funny. Doesn't matter if you agree or disagree with the Fedor legacy
Herro - I think they meant if Michael Jordan fought MMA this is how it would go.
lolol
mdh2k10 -Dead Again - There is no Jordan in any other sport. Please lets move on.
gretzky dominated his sport WAYYYY more than jordan.
9 straight mvps. Holds every scoring and assist record
and jordan had one hell of a supporting cast
This.

Gretzky > Jordan
However, Jordan is GOAT in basketball and had one of the weakest supporting cast ever, and weakest in NBA history for what the Bulls accomplished.
In MMA, the closest thing to Jordan is Anderson Silva. There is nobody remotely close to Gretzky's level in MMA.
nofatchicks - it's just that now he's the Washington Wizards version.
This is a good comparison. Along the lines of what nhbguy said on another thread, nobody doubted Jordan's greatness because his mediocrity on the tail end of his career.
Haadogei - in other sports u have to play the best teams no matter what. The quality of opponent is the same more or less over time through the years.
In mma:
1 - the quality of opponent is variable. There is no system that forces you to compete against the best.
2 - MJ played the best opponents that existed for a decade in a sport where millions of people play it. Fedor faced the best HW mma fighters in a new sport where a third of the top HWs were in the US. So the population of possible opponents for Fedor in his prime was less than 500 guys.
So to compare MJ, arguably the best player out of millions of people who have played the sport, to Fedor (the best heavyweight for 6 or 7 years in a new sport where there were only a few hundred heavyweights that existed) is ridiculous.
I would guess most people who say Fedor is like MJ are in their mid 20s or younger and never actually watched the Bulls in the 90's.
It's a valid comparison when looking at the dominance of each in their respective sport. I think a lot of people look too far into an innocuous comment.
yes!and him getting KO'd by Hendo last night is the equivalent of Kobe dropping 55 points on him on their last meeting.
MJ is the Fedor of basketball! How u like them apples!?!
Fedor is the Micheal McDonald of MMA, but now with no Doobie Brothers.
