Fedor:Loss was necessary; I nvr wanted to be a GOD

.

fedor doesn't seem to shook up. like to see a double header werdum/ overeem and fedor on undercard agaisnt the next best fighter they have. that would be a good card and ppv worthy

pure class ... this loss will not effect his mentality in the least ..

Is this guy just the coolest fuckin dude ever!

One of my big fears about Fedor losing was that he would somehow be deminished in my eyes. but after watching him lose for the first time, and seeing the way he handled it, my respect and admiration for him is even greater.

As far as him saying he wanted to retire undefeated, What fighter wouldn't want to? How could anyone hold that against him really? This loss as shocking as it is will do wonders for him. Nobody on this board could ever know the kind of pressure he was under. And while remaining calm, respectful and humble in a loss as he does in a win is truly amazing. Guys really stop hating on a true ambassador for MMA.

HOW DID HIS NOSE GET CUT AGAIN?

he did not say "loss was not neccesary"

the russian word he used was neobahadimaya

it literally means "something you cannot go around or avoid"

a much better translation is inevitable

That loss was inevitable

I wonder how much Vadim won betting on this fight?

And Vicky is not such a great translator.

he's chillin with a bottle of vodka

CarwinFan - Call me crazy but after watching that interview, I got this feeling like maybe Fedor intentionally pitched this fight to relieve some of the pressure from his fans and media.

When a man has built up such a reputation and has such high expectations from his fans that they refer to him as a God, that's an insane amount of pressure for anybody to shoulder.

Now that he got his first loss out of the way, I think he's gonna go on a tear.

you, fren, are definitely not crazy. in fact, this post tells me you're an insightful genius.

all great champions have lost, and Fedor is still the best, imo.

well didnt he already lose in a sambo match? he got subb'd in a mma, OK

he will move on.

Um, no....

Fedor and Werdum both showed the world why MMA is the best sport around. What an excellent show of class and sportsmanship...

DW was a fool for not keeping Werdum around.. he has always been a superstar in the makings.

Already In Use - SO it was the fan's fault.

Stop calling Fedor a god, assholes.

We are all God.

edit: wow, html fail. sorry guys.

Whatever happens, Fedor is and will be all class.

He reminds me a bit of Elvis who was always very uncomfortable being called the king, as he was also very religious like Fedor is.
