Have you seen the videos of him rolling with Alex? It's like a full grown man toying with a child. Fedor's comments about how good Alex was compared to him were obviously meant to hype is brother up a bit.

David Baron is the linear welterweight champ but I don't think anyone would dispute that GSP is the baddest welter on the planet.
ADCC has a bad habit of announcing who is supposed to fight in their tourney- even though they are just inviting them.
I hate when promoters get me all excited like that.
He would have got Frate Train'd by Roger, Xande, Werdum, Gonzaga, possibly PDP.
This was the smart decision, IMO. No need to make himself look bad on TV. He's an MMA fighter, not a grappler

this is no great surprise. his standup was recently exposed. you really think he wants to get tooled on the mat? a superfight was always the only option, otherwise he most likely wouldnt get past the first round.

I agree that Fedor does not need to go to the UFC to cement his legacy, but disagree about the UFC needing Fedor.
As great as he is, E-Fed would be nothing but a drain on the UFC's bottom line. The UFC is better off letting him wander the hinterlands while they spend their time building up the next generation of great fighters. Not having Fedor might hurt the UFC in the eyes of a few 'hardcore' fans, but it doesn't hurt them one iota with the other 95% of their fans.
