Sign the fight. It does sound interesting.
interesting, i remember Fedor saying he would like to fight Rulon Gardner a while back, so im sure he'd be keen to go at it with Lindland, (sorry mr emelianenko, we dont have the heavyweight in stock, how about the middleweight?)
much better fight than monson/fedor, which is not interesting at all
If true, BLAF is in an awkward emotional position with this.
Will he both cheer for Lindland and cut himself with a razor simultaneously?
The Law stuck it to Rampage. He has balls to want to step up to Fedor. Props to him, but I don't see him beating the human wrecking machine.
as always i will be rooting for lindland. not sure how he wins this but i'm sure he will make it exciting.
cheers,
jj
Big fan of Matt, but Fedor smashes him.
"The Law" will be beaten bloody if this goes down. VERY bad match-up for him IMO.
well, according to mmaweekly, this thread doesnt even matter, they still have fedor vs. Monson.
Lindland is tough for sure, but too small IMO, get Fedor a HW or make him cut to 205.
Monson vs. Fedor is off according to mmaweekly. Monson is defending his belt in Cage Warriors in the UK.
Lindland would get submitted faster than when Werdum tapped him out at ADCC.
I think Linland would do ok for a while. But Fedor has an uncanny knack to use his striking to set up other things like subs or throws or takedowns. Bad matchup for Linland not to mention the size difference. But you got to hand to Linland if he takes this fight, he's a set of big balls.
The Calf Cruncher
"You are going to tell me Lindland right now wouldn't beat Zulu, Coleman and Hunt?"
he wouldn't beat Coleman or Hunt.
unbelievable the amount of people wanting to see this match-up! It would be u-g-l-y.
This could make for an interesting fight but my guess is Lingland gets tooled.
most people would probably disagree but I would much rather see Monson v. Fedor
I would be psyched as hell for this fight, but I think Fedor is just too big, too strong, and too fast.
Lindland supposedly only weighed in at, iirc, 178 to fight Jeremy Horn in the IFL -- a fight at 185. He weighed in at 200 to fight Rampage at 205.
Personally, I think Lindland would beat Coleman. Coleman is no threat standing and would gas sooner or later (by which I mean sooner). I also think he would have a great chance of beating Hunt.
he's too small naturally and isn't any kinf of threat to Fedor standing or on thr ground. I think Fedor would punish his body and then decapitate him.
Doesn't Lindland walk around at like, 195?
the law has quite a set if he takes this fight...giving up like 30 pounds to the #1 fighter in the world. itd be quite a cinematic story if he won, in russia, giving up that amount of weight, beating a living legend...but i dont see it happening
