Fedor vs. Overeem... Could this be in the works?

So with Fedor scheduled to fight in a couple weeks and no opponent announced. Could Overeem be his opponent. His contract is up, he has ties to the pride organization and took little damage in his last fight and is in fight shape. Overeem has always wanted that fight and for the money they are throwing at Fedor he gets level / even competition.

Am I over thinking this or is there a real possibility? Phone Post 3.0

Fedor does need to test himself

and not against the #2-#5 guy in the world who is fighting every 5 months since age 18.

 

Let him warm into a big fight if he wants, but Fedor is such an Enigma he can do what he wants.....

Fedor is signed to a two fight deal so Overeem could make sense if Overeem signed a 1 fight deal with them. Overeem then gets a huge payday and if he wins he can go back to the UFC with even more leverage.
