Fedor's Sub on Randleman

I thought Fedor beat him with a kimura from side mount, but all the databases are saying it's an armbar. Was it that armbar from the figure four grip?

Kimura.

yea, the arm was straight when fedor did it. In a kimura the arm is bent.

the arm was slightly bent. it was a kimura.

It was reverse ude garame. :)

The submission attacked the shoulder, and the arm was indeed bent. Kimura.

Oh it was bent? Oh ok, my bad, then Kimura it was.

Ude Garami

Whatever it was, poor Kev was SCREAMING in pain, so it must have hurt pretty badly.

i saw a kimura

I agree with BMT.

All of Fedor's fights in Pride have been works. Pride "acts" like they don't really like him but in reality they worked all of his fights to make him champion.

Coleman, a known worker, *allowed* Fedor to armbar him, and Mino *allowed* Fedor to smash his face in repeatedly to make the work look good.

Also, Fedor let Kevin SLAM him on his neck, which easily could have caused permanent severe damage, to make the WORK look good for the audience.

It's all so clear, if you idiots would simply open your eyes. Fedor doesn't have skill, strenght, speed, power, and technique! All of his opponents simply agree to works for the money.

Fedor must be strong to one arm that sucker into position on Randleman.

I'm sure he's no slouch, but if you actually look at the position he just put his weight on it and Kev's twitching and trying to get it out eventually bent it the right way.

LOL

It was a Kimura. He started going for a Keylock, then when Kev fought out of that, he was in perfect position for the Kimura, and Fyodor acted swiftly, snaking his supporting hand under Kev's arm for the figure-four. It was pretty sweet - it's hard to tell from the way it was shown in full speed, but the replays show more of the sequence.

ude garami

Oh, so it was a work.

Cool.

"Fedor must be strong to one arm that sucker into position on Randleman."

If you look at Fedor's positioning, you will see that he placed his weight over Randleman's arm very nicely pinning it to the mat.

It was a Kimura.

"Get over it - it was a fucking armlock."

That about sums it up... anybody arguing over what specific armlock it was has qualified for the douchebag of the year awards. Winners will be announced Dec. 31 2004.

kimura-type lock but with the arm turned and straightened to effect an armbar....
