You're saying that a visual of police officers arresting people could be more affective to prevent more looting/rioting? That's valid, but on the flipside, the unmarked vans could also scare the shit out of everyone else. If you have no idea who is kidnapping you and what's happening, you might be just as scared or more scared of fucking around. Although I agree with you from newsworthy coverage. Seeing LEOs would be more affective for people at home.
