Fight DVD Burning question

I have about 500+ full length fights on my Omega External Hard Drive. How would I go about copying  some of them on DVD disk to play on my TV?

What format are they? I usually use TMPEG Encoder to convert the files to a DVD Compliant MPEG 2 format, then use TMPEG DVD Author to create DVD files (VOB's etc.) and then TMPEG can burn the files to DVD with its own program, or you could try Nero if you prefer!
