i know for a fact that the promoters (Mike & Chris) of Legends FC that operate out of Hong Kong and Macau take fighters safety very seriously. Very professional in all facets of their promotion.

"My skull is no longer structurally sound enough to fight. According to the doctors I consulted, the damage from the depression fracture is irreparable. At this point, what was once the hardest part of my head is now the weakest and getting hit there by anyone at a professional level will result in serious brain injuries or even death."

The problem with several of the events is more about competent refs and judges.

I sat in one a Legends rules meeting while cornering Adam Kayoom. I specifically remember the "no strikes to the back of the head"---being described as the "Mohawk" starting at the hairline and going down the neck--

I asked the no strike zone starts at the hairline or the "crown" of the head--I.E. fist touching ear okay...

It was explained any strike within the Mohawk region of the head is a foul....

Now...knees to the head are legal on the ground....

Ref misunderstood the"unified" definition of "Mohawk region"-bad standups-restarts...this has been several years ago...and I'm sure ref knowledge/experience has improved

The problem is lack of mma experience in the region. Where do you get a ref? Judge? Some of these countries only have 1-2 bjj black belts.

OneFC did a good job of bringing in Shimada and Hume--as those guys brought a wealth of knowledge to the organisational side -professionalism of the promotion. Phone Post

off the subject, are chinese fighters getting any better? also that guy that beat robertson seems pretty tuff. he isn't train mma guy but learned sanda and willing to fight mma style

China has an entire national team of fighters...

Yes. They are getting good. I'm interested to see Wu Hao Tian Vs Rodrigo Caporal Phone Post

I can confirm this, fought number 1 and 2 fighters in China at MT 70kg . Whole experience was Suss as fuck but fun

FYI those who don't have a clue how big fighting is down the eastern sea board of China. It's massive truly massive with it on tv 24 7 . It's not western MMA it's mainly Sanda and modified MT ( they all train Mt as a supplement to gong fu ) and the fighters are shit hot . They just don't compete internationally and the fights ate very insular. Don't think they'll ever give a fuck about UFC style MMA they will lead their own promos

Much like the economy when China fighters wakes from their sleep the world will be fucking shocked by how many top guys suddenly appear out of no where. Phone Post
