Shai Lindsey vs. Carlo Junio

Nick Diaz may have started a trend of throwing the hands out in mid fight:

Shai Lindsey may have stopped it on Sunday.

Only Nick Diaz can do that without getting knocked the fuck out. Lesson learned for other fighters.

That being said, Diaz won rounds 1, 2 and 5.

Aside from the large skill difference, Diaz usually does it to get his opponent to engage... this guy was retreating off the cage after eating a big combo.

Dumb (but entertaining).

Not really like Nick. Phone Post

Nick doesn't showboat.....he taunts.

Big difference.

I guess nobody ever taught him rule #1 about fighting. Phone Post

Both are douchey

Shy Lindsey would be an excellent name for a pornstar. Phone Post

I'm sure you like seeing guys hug before each rounds start you pussy,
This is a fist fight the guys shouldn't show any respect until the fights over. Phone Post

Having respect and class isn't being a pussy.

I don't care if they hug or not, but I also don't enjoy mean mugging and taunting.

It's a sport not a bar fight.

Douchey?

You don't think there's a difference between Sudo dancing (showboating) and Nick walking down a fighter with his arms nowhere near his face to block shots while saying "what's up bitch?"

That's a douche move?

The majority of time the Diaz brothers do that it is completely to taunt.

Which yes, is douchey.

I get why people gravitate towards it (Oh, look at what a tough guy he is!) and it makes fights somewhat entertaining(if there is a reson for it), but you have to admit to do it to every fighter with no reason is douchey.

Jim Miller deserves anyone's respect.

It's trying to clown your opponent, which i think is immature.

You can't act like that in a fight and then be all "respectful" afterwards, its hypocritical.

LOL @ this thread.

That fight made me think of Rashad vs. Lyoto, not Diaz.

I think it serves a purpose as to possibly mentally throw their opponent off their game. It might get them to do something they wouldn't normally do as well. The vid you posted is a great example. How many times do you see Jim Miller throwing a flying knee?
