Former boxing champ Edwin Valero committed suicide in his jail cell on Monday just hours after he was arrested in his wife's killing, police said.
He hanged himself with his own clothes

Allegations? He beat his pregnant wife with a shotgun so bad she had spinal fractures and then threw her down the stairs. He took a plea deal.

This is a terrible tragedy in every sense.
This was a man that was in desperate need of help, and unfortunately didn't receive the treatment that he needed before he did something irreversibly horrible. It's a sad situation all the way around. Obviously my deepest condolences go to the parents of the girl, and the Valero family as well. That said, it's really a terrible shame. Valero was a unique talent, with unlimited potential that will never be realized. We'll never know what he could have become.
All of that said, people are fucking ridiculous, talking shit about people that they don't even know.
