Thread about Clay Guida got me thinking, which fighter has the most split decision wins/losses during his career?
For example, Glay Guida has 4 split decision losses a 2 split decision wins:
loss - gray maynard
loss - diego sanchez
win - nate diaz
win - marcus aurelio
loss - tyson griffin
loss - gil melendez
Jeremy Horn has 3 (although I'm not sure what a Decisio/Majority is) and Travis Fulton has only 1 unless I counted wrong.
Can anyone else top Clay Guida?
The real question is: Who has benefited the most from split decisions in their career when more than a few arguably should have went the other way?
A Majority Decision is when 2 judges score it for 1 fighter and the 3rd scores it a draw.
Leonard Garcia
No idea how the Melendez fight was a split, Gil clearly won.
JShad - Leonard Garcia
Wouldn't he be winless in something like 10 fights without questionable decisions? Off the top of my head I can't remember how many were splits though
Chris Lytle comes to mind. Let me check...
