fighters that have NEVER fought off of their back?

Not too many around. Who are they?

Coleman,

Cung Le,

lesnar,

Quinton Jackson?

liddel?

^ Rampage had Chuck on his back in their first fight. He did damage with those elbows to the body and passed to mount right before the towel came in.

Lesnar was on his back/side while tapping. ;-)

Sakuraba has rarely been on his back.

aoki

sakuraba obviously likes having top position but he has been on his back in so many fights, barring the ones where he doesn't even engange on the ground like against vitor, royler, allan goes.
But like im sure he was on his back for a the newton fight and maybe the renzo, I just know i've seen him on his back, its just that he likes to turtle eventually.

Saku was on his back against Quinton as well and showed a very offensive/attacking guard. But in general he is usually in top position, like you said. But true, he has been on his back in more than a few fights. I don't think Saku was ever on his back against Renzo though...

Chuck was mounted by Randy in there first fight

Rampage fought off his back against Arona.

shoji took down coleman but I think he was only on his back for half a sec, but your correct hes never had to fight off his back

has sokoudjou been on his back?

coleman didn't land on his back with shoji because of the ropes and coleman turned his hips in the air.

the longest time i saw coleman on his back for any reason in a fight was when he was ko'd by pete williams.

mark kerr has not fought off his back that i can recall.

tom erickson fought off his back when antonio silva took him down. but before that he never fought on his back.

Jackson was on his back with Ninja as well.

Jackson fought off of his back a good deal in his last fight. Did a very good job of it, imo

NiteProwleR - shoji took down coleman but I think he was only on his back for half a sec, but your correct hes never had to fight off his back

has sokoudjou been on his back?

Yes, Sokoudjou was on his back in the Machida fight.

coleman put him on his back from the front headlock after severn shot for a double.

i definitely agree that saku showed a VERY offensive guard against rampage. e had rampage in several triangle and armbars that rampage escaped by powerbomb attempts.

I can't think of a time GSP was on his back fighting. He ended up on his back in the Serra fight, but it was all but over by that point.

Houston Alexander didn't exactly fight off his back

GSP was on his back when hughes arm-barred him.

GSP got subbed in the first Hughes fight when he tried a kimura from the bottom, but that was awhile ago...

GSP was on his back for the last chunk of round 1 in the Koscheck fight.
